MAX SINCLAIR NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

A few weeks ago I solicited 2010 new years resolutions and wishes and posted a few here on this blog - but you know people are busy so I think when people are late, they think that they shouldn't bother... but that didn't stop porn star Max Sinclair who took a minute out of his busy appearance schedule to jot down a few words (below). Max will next appear at Porno Bingo on Wednesday February 17th for our fifth anniversary show along the beautiful World Famous Bob - a night that will benefit Visual AIDS. 

By the way, it isn't too late to send yours to me because you know, January was fantastic at times but wow, I'm happy to think of February 1st as the real start of the new year (and it's Bryan Slater's birthday and that's the day HE begins his new year so I'm starting mine then too! And if that doesn't work then March 1st will be the start and then April 1st.. until I get it right!) :)

OK here's Max's 2010 resolution: 

"My New Years Resolution is 2 things.  Get more muscular, and be more careful when I accept friends and/or fuck buddies into my inner circle this next year.  :)"

Gay adult video company Hot House announced yesterday that they have now acquired the complete library of Studio 2000 - the studio giant known for discovering such hotties as Chris Steele, Sonny Markham, DC Chandler and many many more. Stud 2000 as I always have called it has kind of faded from the industry spotlight in recent years after having been bought from it's original owners who lived in LA and joined the other dozen gay porn studios that made a home in San Francisco. Ten years ago the studio had The Best European videos - always a treat for me as a columnist because I could simply enjoy the movies (because I neither knew nor had slept with anyone in the cast).

ROBERT VAN DAMME BINGO PICS NOW POSTED

Dashing in a half hour after we started due to a previous engagement that couldn't be avoided wasn't exactly how I wanted to celebrate the 250th show but thankfully our guest host Amanda Takehometomother got things going for us, Nekked gave good song and most of all our featured star of the night, porn star and director (and the only one really making bodybuilder porn these days) Robert Van Damme joined us for a night in which the Metropolitan Tennis Group raised funds for the Hetrick Martin Insitute - to the tune of over $500 which included a fabulous bid of $160 for Robert's speedo - the pair he wore on the cover of PRIVATE PARTY 3. A packed house, great XXX flicks, tickets to DADDY and Karen Finlay's new show as well as Dance 208 tickets and a bevy of fabulous prizes (including another coffee table sized book from Kristin Bjorn) made the night a very special event! GET IN THE IPAD GROOVE

Who knew MadTV was so forward thinking? TV Week posted this video from a MadTV sketch three years ago forshadowing the iPad. It's possible that some folks could be offended but I personally think it's hilarious. But then again, I can be 13 at times.

On a sort of related note, it annoys me that some dude posted this and is using it to get Twitter followers. Does anyone else specifically want to vote for his competitor just because he's so desperate? Sorry, see how I am?

BANNED SUPER BOWL AD KICKS IT

It's an old story - just when you think we've progressed to a point where being gay is just sort of 'whatever' to the networks - the old pink ceiling rears it's head.

Today CBS said it would refuse to air an ad for Man Crunch, a "premier service connecting men with other men and allowing them to open up about the down low"... which frankly to me just sounds like a straight guy's idea of what gay men do. The banned commercial is below and it really reminds me more of a commercial that played on the Super Bowl last year and frankly, the quality of it is questionable (especially given how extravagantly executed Super Bowl ads usually are) but it is definitely a double standard especially in an era when we're constantly exposed to politicians' affairs, brutal violence and Snookie.

Proving again that Lady Gaga is part circuit boy and part horror movie, this video from a fan using her "show me your teeth" song and featuring super hot men in the process just goes to show you what you can accomplish when you really bite into a project.
