Oh yes I know. It's been over a couple weeks since I last posted on this blog - from some mid winter blues to a stomach flu to a computer crash and a short work trip out of town, the past six weeks have been packed!
Fortunately the computer got repaired (thanks super cute techie from the Grand Central Genius Bar at the new Apple store who had an awesome moustache that cried out to be licked - I didn't but I sure wanted to) and the short trip was good (who knew I had a talent for organizing others' lives?), things have been slowly getting back on track. Last week's Bingo night raised nearly $600 for New Alternatives - an organization that helps LGBT homeless youth get back on their feet. If you're able to part with a buck or two to help - this is one of those organizations where literally every dollar counts. Coming up this next Wednesday, our 7th anniversary show, more on that tomorrow (but I've got the super awesome actor David Drake coming in as his new alter ego, "Tawny Heatherton" - you'll hear all about the new show at the Laurie Beechman opening next Friday February 17th - as well as singer Vicky Modica and stripper Jay Roth).
Today, Sunday February 12th, I'll be at the Eagle from 3pm to 6pm emceeing Leather Pride Night's pre Valentines rummage sale. If you or you and your honey are looking for some leather to kick start your Valentines celebration, this is the place to go. While you're there you can get your boot shined or get spanked, you can drink some drinks from the Eagle bar and you can buy raffle tix for a portable sling. I'm kind of bummed that as emcee I'm probably not allowed to participate in the raffle but I'll just have to cozy up to the winner... just saying.
There's no cover and you'll want to get there at 3 on the dot so that you don't miss any of the incredible items. See you later on today at the Eagle!
