So, yes, I know what you're thinking - posting pics from an event that happened over two months ago on
Wednesday December 21st.. you're thinking: this is the internet, things that happened twenty minutes ago are already out of date. OK OK I know. But when you see the pics of Geronimo, you'll have to agree that they might just be worth waiting for (or least too good to pass up). Besides, I have a thing for keeping my gallery complete (I don't think I'm completely OCD but I'm sure there must be a touch in there of it somewhere in me! LOL).
Anyway, a big shout out and thank you to my guests that night - drag queen of the world Gusty Winds and stripper extrodinaire (and Millionaire Matchmaker contestant) Geronimo! The night benefited Right Rides which does really great work offering woman and LGBTQ individuals a free, late-night ride home as a way of curbing gender and orientation based assault. You can find out more by checking out their website.
We also started the first of about 10 nights sponsored by musicians supporting Kylie Edmonds' new organization, Rock and Rawhide. Again, click on the link and find out the
amazing work that Kylie and her incredible crew are doing to bring a measure of happiness to shelter bound dogs and cats which of course increases their chances of being adopted. :)
Thanks to Lisa Redford (above on the left posing with Geronimo in the middle and Kylie on the right) for filling in at the last minute for a performer that was taken ill!
A big shout out also to my best friend Matt who comes regularly from San Fran to call a round or two. :) And he brought with him a small posse of friends including an old friend of ours, Jody, from Dallas, who we first met 20 years ago while we both lived in Chicago. :) Now that was the best Xmas present I could have gotten!
