A huge thank you to all the friends, fans and colleagues sending me birthday wishes today! As many of my friends know, I tend to have Will Clark Birthday Month rather than confine it to just one day. I thought the year (I think in around 1999 or so) that I celebrated while on a six week appearance tour was
For example, today I heard from four different ex boyfriends (there are only six that I have granted that title to and really, three of those technically weren't really 'boyfriends' but extended first dates).
I even got a birthday wish from the one and only girl I ever went out with (whom by the way turned out to be lesbian, which I am pretty sure I didn't cause! LOL) I heard from friends stemming all the way back to kindergarten (one of my best friends growing up, who also turned out to be lesbian, I'm seeing a pattern here I think) and from friends that I saw two nights ago at Pieces.. and many from periods in my life in between.
If life could always be like your birthday day on Facebook, life would indeed be pretty trouble-free, wouldn't it? A cascade of love and appreciation that is reassuring and well, of course a little overwhelming (but what a 'problem' to have! LOL).
But unfortunately life is not like that every day. But that's OK. For me, I've already got enough 'fuel' to keep me going for the next 364 days, so I'm topped off, I'm good, thanks! :)
