Good afternoon peeps! For those of us in New York, today was yet another beautiful summer day - even if yes, technically summer is a month away (and by the way June 21 which is Midsummer's Day is also our friend Kylie Edmond's birthday, more on that in the coming weeks).
Speaking of summer, the weekly Sea Tea party aboard the Queen of Hearts gets going in just a month - on Saturday June 23rd and Sunday June 24th as the Sea Tea revs up it's engines for another season of sailin', dancin' and lots of fundraisin throughout the summer.
For the 9th year in a row, the Bad Boys will be sailing - featuring Michael Brandon and DJ Jonny Mack along with a cast of hotties who'll join us to again raise funds for our friends over at Braking the Cycle! :)
This year you can save tons of cash by buying a season VIP pass for the summer but only until June 1st - so you have about 10 days to get it together and pony up the $99 that'll get you into a full season's worth of parties. If you go to just five parties over the summer, you've more than made back that investment and with the VIP you never have to worry about getting turned away at the door again.
And best of all, with the VIP pass, you can also bring a friend. So really this is an incredible value. 16 parties for a fraction of the cost. Hurry though, supplies are limited.
Meanwhile, full lineup for the Bad Boys Sea Tea is coming in the next few weeks...but just go ahead and buy your tickets now (last year we sold out).
Happy Tuesday Peeps - it's a dull grey rainy day here in New York and for me, it's been hard to get motivated after a three day weekend where some of my best peeps were out of town on vacation or
visiting DC for Mid Atlantic Leather. I spent the holiday sleeping in and being a total slug so in theory I should be all revved up and ready to start the day fresh. But I think once you've slept 12 hours a couple days in a row, ones body tends to get used to it - especially in the gloomy grey rainy weather and especially when the temps outside are so low that my building's natural radiator heating doesn't quite fill the apartment up with warmth. These are the kinds of days that one needs a warm body to share the bed with one wouldn't you say?
When I get in one of these moods, I usually start looking forward at the cool things to come in the months ahead - and that helps a lot. Naturally there are some terrific weeks of Bingo coming up featuring a wide range of stars - from Dallas Dubois and Alessio Romero tomorrow night to One Life to Live star Florencia Lozano (who'll hopefully give us all some insight into the final days of the show when she appears on Feb 15th) to adult video actress Dorothy Bishop (who's Sarah Palin impersonation has been a source of popularity
for the past couple years - that's on February 8th) to A List star TJ Kelly who appears on February 22nd. It's that's not range, I don't know what is. And of course we'll have a great series of singers representing Rock and Rawhide along the way. Plus, I've got Pete Finland rocking our Pre Black Party party on March 21st.
Also in February - two awesome leather events - Im emceeing the annual Leather Pride Night (LPN) flea market at the Eagle on Sunday February 12th where you can get new and used leather goods and then later on Saturday February 18th I'm emceeing the annual "Fetish 4 Fashion" event produced by Folsom Street East at the LGBT Center here in New York to benefit Housing Works So you'll buy some leather cheap to get dressed up to go to the other event where you can bid on designer leather for even more fabulous events. And all for good causes. :)
Speaking of Folsom Street East - that takes place on Sunday June 17th and yes I'll be emceeing there again. More on my cohosts and performers throughout the spring!
I'm also pleased to announce this year's Bad Boys on the Hudson is scheduled for Sunday July 8th. Michael Brandon and Lance Navarro have signed on already for the 9th Annual event that will benefit Braking the Cycle, the annual 300 mile bike ride from Boston to New York that raises funds for the HIV/AIDS services at the LGBT Center. Tickets will go on sale soon and I advise if you've been before or if you've ever wanted to go, that you should get your tickets early as we did sell out this past summer. Naturally I'll let you know when it's time for that (do I ever miss an opportunity to get the word out?? LOL Our DJ for the night and the other stars in the lineup will be announced as they're booked. There simply isn't another party like this - others try to approximate it but
we have a certain spirit missing from other porn star events (granted, I'm biased).
That's looking pretty far in the future - and I have other stuff to announce that'll happen in March (like the Black Party, the BP Expo and Night of a Thousand Gowns and of course the international celebration that takes place for weeks before, during and after March 9th <wink>) but that's enough for today.
No matter where you are or what you're up to today, make sure that you make the day the best that it can be!
And, in honor of Betty White's birthday (I missed the big special last night - I was so beat from the weekend, that I ended up face down, fully clothed on the couch saying to myself, I'll get up and get the remote in a minute - and then eventually I woke up and it was long since over .. oh well!) here's a little video that I only discovered today - I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I (and Betty) did!
Dubbed the “raunchiest cruise in New York”, Will Clark’s Bad Boys on the Hudson celebrated it’s 8th Annual Sea Tea fundraiser on Sunday July 10th with 8 sizzling hot gay porn stars including the multi award winning MICHAEL BRANDON along with MIKE DREYDEN, LANCE NAVARRO, SCOTT SPEARS, CLAY TOWERS,CHAD BROCK, LENAIR XAVIER and the one and only, the legendary, SPIKE.
DJ JONNY MACK spun all night long to a sold out crowd of hot n horny New Yorkers that included Torez, Rollerena, photographer JJ Mack, Jeff from Wilson Models and many many more!
In all, we raised nearly $6,500 for Braking the Cycle which annually sponsors a fundraising bike ride from Boston to New York raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the HIV/AIDS services at New York's LGBT Center.
A special thanks to 2011 Mr. Eagle, CB Kirby, who brought his amazing BTC team to sell raffle tickets throughout the evening.
A BIG SHOUT OUT to the "Bad Boys" team - AB (who took all the photos in the gallery) and Barbara (who offered extensive hand holding and much much more!) :)
The 9th Annual Bad Boys party is already being planned for mid July 2012... tickets will go on sale after the new year on the Sea Tea site... stick close to this blog to find out when (although figure on early to mid July). We WILL sell out again and you don't want to miss out!
I don't know about my guests or the audience but I know I was still in recovery mode on Wednesday July 13th after the July 10th Bad Boys on the Hudson. I've had some sexy cruises but DJ Jonny Mack gave us good happy energy and that gave all the performers that much of a happier night. But I'll get to that when I post the pics very very soon.
Anyway, on the Wednesday afterwards, I had the kingpin of that OTHER porn cruise on the Sea Tea -- promoter Daniel Nardicio - as one of my guests along with the awesomely talented Molly Pope and Nardicio's boyfriend Go Go Harder - who's doing less go-going and more emceeing these days.
Still Go Go showed up in an outfit that left nothing to the imagination and between Nardicio's Fire Island stories and Molly's performances, we had an incredible time and raised over $600 for our Braking the Cycle summer-long promotion!
The July 6th show seems like it was years ago rather than just a few weeks, so much has happened on this end - anyway, the night was a lot of fun, XXX stud Scott Spears came to town to appear at the July 10th Bad Boys on the Hudson event (which ended up selling out btw, you might want to mark your calendars for the 2012 party - scheduled for Sunday July 15th, 2012 -- it'll be the end of the world so you might as well have some fun while you can!) and cabaret singer Vincent Wolfe visited from Toronto and joined us for a little fun.
Along the way we raised $1200 for Braking the Cycle, kicking off one of the most extraordinary months in Bingo history! (but more on that later).
Last night at The Will Clark Show we exceeded my desired goal of $800 by raising over $1400 for Braking the Cycle (thanks to matching grants by corporate sponsors of our Team Flying Goat riders, Goldman Sachs and Macys). Thanks to Andy and Brian from Camp Blood.org (they'll be back at Halloween) who brought in the Summer Camp vibe and thanks to my special guests singer Athena Reich and horror himbo Joe Zaso (who has a new show online - Cafe Himbo- that you have to check out below.. scroll all the way to the end of this post)
More to report soon and well, yup I know I'm behind on posting Bad Boys on the Hudson pics and recent Bingo nights - but the Pieces Community Board stuff (as well as usual personal life stuff) has meant that some things have had to be put aside. For those of you who have asked specifically for Bad Boys pics, I apologize and promise that they will be posted soonish. :)
Tonight as you know, is the Big Community Board meeting and you can find out all the information you need to know by clicking here on the Facebook invite page for the meeting. There are Community Board members listed as well as the address and suggestions for how to act if you are speaking on Pieces behalf - in short, let's be civil, let's be calm, let's show them how much fun we are and let's not let the few bad seeds bait us into reacting. We have to be smart about this. I know I know it's difficult. I am of course very invested in the move and am trying to temper my own frustration (as detailed on this blog a few days ago) with focusing on the prize at hand.
In any event, in other news, I am told that Molly Pope's show Tuesday night at Ars Nova was a blast - she played a brilliant show to a packed house. I had to miss it but I'm sure we will all have more opportunities to catch this rising star.
Last night we auctioned off the first of two pair of tickets to THE JUDY SHOW, Judy Gold's new one person show about what her life might look like if it were a sitcom (you mean, it isn't?) I'll have tickets to that and SPLATTER PATTERN at next week's Bingo.
Now once this Community Board stuff is over, regardless of the outcome, it's time to party a little and celebrate our biggest victory here in New York - the passage of Marriage Equality. I'll be up in Hudson attending the first legal wedding - a lesbian couple is inviting The Public to their ceremony. You can find out more by clicking here and if you're in the area, come and join in the fun.
Then, Sunday night, the First Day of Marriage Equality continues in New York state with a Marriage Equality fundraiser on the Sea Tea spun by our own Bingo DJ Chris Padilla!
It's totally coincidental that this is going to work out this way as Marriage Equality was set for this night months ago. Talk about flowing with the vibe of the universe! There is going to be at least one confirmed same sex wedding on board and couples that bring in proof that they got married (those lucky 700 or so couples that win the marriage lottery) on Sunday get on board free.
The event is nearly sold out so if you want to go, get your tix TODAY at the Sea Tea site!
Well, I haven't made much headway on my "It's the End of the World Let's Party" tour because I've been dealing with a lot of stuff but I'll put it out there again to you all reading this - I'm booking emcee gigs for contests and other kinds of events in and out of the LGBT community here in the New York area and around the country. I'm always open to references and referrals.
Just a quick post this morning to let you all know, last night was another incredible Bad Boys on the Hudson! The event sold out and we raised several thousand for Braking the Cycle..... we auctioned jockstraps and gave away some porn and DJ Jonny Mack spun us into heaven! More details coming tomorrow (Tuesday July 12th) but Im taking today to take a bike riding trip to Sandy Hook NJ. Kind of a last minute thing but I'm throwing things in to a bag and heading out for a 1:30 ferry.
THANKS to all the stars, the Sea Tea crew and my own awesome friends Barbara and AB who helped me run this event flawlessly..but it couldn't have come together as seemlessly without the hard work of the current Mr. Leather, CB Kirby who was Superman last night.
Tonight when 8 gay XXX studs convene on the Queen of Hearts docked at Pier 40, they'll have in hand all sorts of raffle prizes - and as the stars and the Braking the Cycle riders will be selling the tickets for $10 crotch to floor (or if you want to cop a feel of your favorite star, you can pony up $20 for the STARS crotch to floor... yeah, it's the same amount of tickets but look what you get for that extra ten bucks!!) :)
What will you win with these fabulous raffle tickets? Why awesome prizes like XXX DVDs, lube and such and our Chicago friend Clay Towers has one interesting package.. er um PRIZE package that he'll be very excited to unload... hmmm let me rephrase - I guess I'm just in that head space today. (heh heh I said "head")
Anyway, Clay's got a copy of Falcon's LAID OFF, a 10oz bottle of Wet Light lube (and condoms naturally) along with a 750ML bottle of Skyy Vodka (mine!!), a cock shaped water gun (his husband Chad Brock has cock shaped candy... so it's kind of a theme with them I guess!) and large Superman boxer briefs!
Clay will be there with all the guys doing what they do best all evening long rockin the boat and making your night a little sweeter! See you all tonight at the 8th Annual Bad Boys on the Hudson!
(Reminder: There are no more advance tickets - there are only a limited number of at-door tickets and the line will start forming at 5pm to get those! Doors open at 6, boat sails at 7:30, show starts at 8 and raffle drawing at 9:15 with a return to Pier 40 at 10pm followed by an after party at Pieces located at 8 Christopher Street).
I hear from my friends at the Sea Tea that tickets are going at an incredible rate this year and as the cruise is now about 24 hours away (as I write this) you might want to grab tickets NOW .. HOWEVER they will be holding back a very limited number of tickets for sale at the door (for those of you who just can't make up your mind - although I don't know what is holding you back - 8 sizzlin hot gay porn stars performing for you and raising funds for an awesome charity, Braking the Cycle) starting at 5pm at Pier 40 at the end of Christopher Street aboard the Queen of Hearts!
As you know, doors to the boat open at 6.. DJ Johnny Mack's music will already be revving up and you'll be able to belly up to our cash bar and enjoy the music and the evening sun all the while watching the porn stars arrive along the pier, mingling with our Braking the Cycle volunteers and me and my team take photos of them and get them all ready to go.
At 7 the stars will start selling raffle tickets with the BTC volunteers - REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR TENS AND TWENTIES because there will be 'crotch to floor' ticket deals (YOUR crotch to floor, $10, the porn star crotch to floor, $20.. same amount of tickets but hey you get the opportunity to take the roll of tix ... and measure... YUM).
The boat leaves the pier at 7:30 and the buffet dinner starts shortly thereafter ...
At 8, our performers bring it on.. that's all I'm saying - because if you don't know what porn stars do best, perhaps this isn't the right cruise for you!
At 9:15 we'll convene in the lower deck and all the stars and myself will be auctioning jocks and calling raffle tickets... REMEMBER TO BRING A FEW EXTRA BUCKS for this one of a kind auction for stars like Michael Brandon, Lance Navarro, Scott Spears, Chad Brock and Clay Towers whom we don't get the chance that often to undress... naturally too I have things to give away from locals LeNair Xavier, Spike and Mike Dreyden.
The boat returns to land at 10pm and then we'll all caravan down to PIECES at 8 Christopher Street where you can purchase the cheapest strongest drinks on Christopher Street. There the stars will sign pics and chat and hang .... it's the 2nd annual "after glow" party at Pieces.. don't miss it!! (Free for Bad Boys partygoers.. but if you weren't on the boat, I'll expect you, yes you, to make a small donation to Braking the Cycle!)
After that.. well, we'll be rode hard and put back but that's OK because a late night shower is often just the cure all to wash away the day.. or maybe you'd rather sleep with the funk... to each their own!
Remember, we encourage safer sex decisions at Bad Boys on the Hudson and all Will Clark events... so play and drink responsibly and wisely!
See you all tomorrow Sunday July 10th at the 8th Annual Bad Boys on the Hudson!
Like any good bear, DJ Jonny Mack knows how to get the fur flying and whenever he appears at Bingo, it's sure to be something pretty memorable.. and it was. We raised a few hundred dollars for the Metrobears who, in turn, donated a portion of that to the Bronx Community Pride Center. Also appearing- new friend and Toronto based singer Vincent Wolfe who delighted us with his beautiful voice. This makes two awesome talents that I must see the next/first time I make it to Toronto (Sharron Matthews, another former Bingo guest, is the other).
Now just a quick word about Jonny - if you haven't gotten over to see him at DILF (that's "Daddies I'd Like to Fuck" at G on W. 19th) where he spins sporadically on Wednesday nights, you just have to go - and here's why - Jonny spins like no one else I know - not only is the music upbeat and cheerful but Jonny sorta kinda dances along with it and makes you want to dance as well. Seeing Jonny have a good time just puts me in a good mood. It's pretty much the reason I asked him to join us this year on the Bad Boys on the Hudson cruise not as talent, but as our next DJ after Randy Bettis and Philip Kimball. That's July 10th and you can get tickets now before they sell out by going to the Sea Tea site and looking for the Sunday July 10th Bad Boys on the Hudson event. See you all on the dancefloor!
