Hey all, hope you're having a great Thursday- mine's a little wonky but what would a Thursday be like without wonkiness? Anyway, yesterday I taped a podcast interview with Ken Schneck who hosts the wonderfully fun (and smart) "this show is so gay". Click on the logo to the right and give a listen. I talk a lot about Bingo (naturally) but there's more to it than that.As long time friends/fans might remember, I have a history of hating interviews (especially one I did about a year ago.. eccch)- but this one went really well. So have a listen and enjoy! (although I may have expressed a little too much my jonesing for a certain A Lister/recent Bingo guest <blush>) :)
it was an incredible night last night at Pieces as One Life to Live star Florencia Lozano and singer Deni Bonet joined me for a fabulous night of fundraising for God's Love We Deliver Was it a great night because I got to kiss both of my guests? (maybe), was it because we raised hundreds of dollars by auctioning off two sets of tickets to Priscilla Queen of the Desert?? (that's a start!) or was it because I had a rip-roaring good time with a bar full of fans, friends, press and supporters of our charity, stars and Will Clark Show regulars? (the answer is: yes).
Favorite quote of the night when asked about her character Tea Delgado and her frenemy relationship with Blair Cramer, Florencia said of herself on the show "I think she's a little gay" which of course elicited rip roaring cheers from the crowd!! As far as rumors about a Roger Howath return as "realTodd" she thought the idea was fantastic but said "I know nothing. I'd spoil it for you if I knew but they don't tell us anything!" And of course everyone in the place just erupted with applause! :)
More in a day or two as soon as my schedule slows down a bit to post pics from the night... but here's my favorite (so far) after taking a quick peek at the pics this morning... enjoy!!
Meanwhile, check in with the We Love Soaps site for their coverage of the night and I'll be back tonight or over the weekend with the full recap and gallery of images! Have a great Thursday everyone!!
It's an all star evening at the Will Clark Show featuring Prrrrno Bingo with ABC Daytime star Florencia Lozano and singer Deni Bonet (the recently released "Girl Party" feat. Fred Schneider of the B52s, catch it on iTunes!) !!
The night, presented by the website We Love Soaps will benefit our friends at God's Love We Deliver and although there is no cover, I'm recommending that everyone come with an extra few dollars to contribute to one of New York's hardest working organizations!
In addition to our cheapo drinks, reasonably priced Bingo cards (1 for $1 or 5 for $5.. a bargain!), we've got awesome erotic items and tickets from PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT to auction off (courtesy of NEXT Magazine).
If you've only got one life to live and you still haven't found that rainbow's end, come on over to Pieces tonight and quiz Florencia on how many times her character, tough as nails attorney Tea Delgado has been married, how old 'should' her child Dani be and most intriguing of all.. are we about to dive headlong into RealTodd returning to the show as the show has hinted at??
These questions answered and MORE with a generous dollop of Deni at New York's longest running weekly fundraising event... now finishing our 6th year!
Tonight my guest is the one and only Bianca Leigh.. join us for a fabulous evening of song, stories and booze!

Today I spent the day having lunch. No really, that's about all I did.
It's amazing how much nothing one can do if one puts one mind to it - but I can be forgiven for an occasional day of laziness when the past couple months have been chock full of moves, shows, trips and so forth. To have a day when I could actually spend the day having lunch is super rare.
I thought it was as good a time as any to catch up on Willness news -
First, I have decided as of today that I will never again do an interview or volunteer to be quoted in some article... because honestly, about 90% of the ones I've done in my life have been absolutely awful. I can blame a variety of writers or I can blame myself and blaming myself for trusting writers to 'get it right' seems easier (and more productive) than to lay the blame on the writers themselves (although I have pointed out those mistakes in the past - and you know what? never piss off an ambitious writer who will hold it against you that you pointed out an error- no matter how nicely you do it). UGH.
What prompted this? Well, a few weeks back I did an interview for a gay news website about barebacking in gay porn and when the link showed up in my 'in' box yesterday and after I read it I said out loud to no one in particular "where did he get that? Why did he say THAT?" and, "hmmm well he linked THAT person's website, why didn't he link to mine?" and so on. And when I called to ask if he could change it, he passed the buck to his editor saying it probably couldn't be changed because he's "just a freelancer" (quoted exactly by the way). Why, not because thousands of copies had gone out, but because they just didn't feel like it. Uhm what?
But whatever. It's my own fault for doing it when I've had bad experiences in the past. Like the interview
I gave a year and a half ago and the end result turned out so badly written I felt embarrassed for the fella that wrote it.
Or like the interview I gave for that book a four or five years ago and I had to keep checking the start of the chapter for my name because nothing in the interview was remotely true (I think he must have gotten his info from my Wiki page - something I gave up trying to keep correct three years ago, it was exhausting. Someone's desire to keep it full of misinformation was almost flattering). Anyway, when this writer asked to do another interview recently I politely declined. You see, I guess I am learning.
Sigh. So until I've learned the art of giving that canned answer, I am swearing off interviews. Maybe that means that I'll never be famous but at least I won't have to go through the agita again. (but that graphic of Veronica doing her Veronica-dance makes me happy.. good thoughts, good thoughts...)
Now that that's off my chest, tomorrow night's show is going to be hot with the incredible Wendy Ho and Lester Greene duking it out. Wendy's with us for the first hour and Lester (in a thong, he says, no less) in the second. Plus we've got Amanda Takehometomother in her penultimate appearance at Bingo before she waves buh bye to us in July (following the July 11th Bad Boys Sea Tea event).
Then on Friday and Saturday May 28th and 29th we say buh bye to WHEN JOEY MARRIED BOBBY at the Roy Arias Theatre (and what a hottie that Roy Arias is.. I met him last night. Yum). What an incredible cast and what a fabulous show to have been a part of for the past couple months! I may or may not be blogging on Sunday depending upon how late that cast party goes... if it's anything like last week's cast party (pics here and below)- which ran, reportedly until the daylight
hours, we will still be having fun til Memorial Day. However, as soon as I come up for air (and by "air" I mean, euphemistically, "as soon as I drag my ass home from whatever
gutter it'll land in.. or is that whoseever gutter?" Patayto patahto) I'll let you know how it went.
After that on June 2nd, drag goddess Sherry Vine comes to visit us at P*rno Bingo and won't THAT be a good time! More on this after Memorial Day. Plus we have 'Canada's Goddess of Cabaret" Sharron Matthews. June is clearly "singer month" as I've got Bianca Leigh and Josie Cotten coming up in the weeks after.
Then, on June 3rd I'm taking a trip west with the BF to visit friends in LA. You know, it's been five years since I was last in SoCal and am getting excited to be back for a weekend visit. While I'm there, in fact, just after I land, I'll be MCing the 2nd Brevity Fest with comic JD Salvatore in Silverlake at El Cid. That's Thursday June 3rd at 7:30. CLICK HERE FOR INFO. My gal pal Irene Soderberg will be performing along with a half dozen writers. Fun!
Finally, one last LOST note - the more I've thought about the ending the more I love it. I groused for weeks that I'd be disappointed but it's stayed with me. I know I know, they didn't answer things and there are some things that don't make sense - but it did move me and I have thought often over yesterday and today what my version of that afterlife world would be - I guess it could be a multi-denominational church as they used in the show as I'm a fairly religious - or maybe spiritual is the better word - but I decided that it would be a big party with all my favorite porn stars, singers, drag queens, DJs, with my favorite food and liquor all rolled up into a blowout party - although I don't know that I could necessarily sit back and simply enjoy it - it's not in my nature - but throwing a big party like that would be fabulous. And best of all? I wouldn't have to give one single solitary interview. Now THAT would be Heaven!!! LOL
I'll leave you with Estelle's latest single, "All of Me" so you can dance your way into the evening -
I adore me some Max Sinclair and his new interview with Jed Ryan is probably one of the most honest porn star interviews I think I've ever read (and that's fifteen years of reading mostly bullshit interviews, let me tell you). More under the fold... I get a little spicy so don't go if you don't like teh gay sex talk, don't go....
Hey all Jonathan Griffith and JC Alvarez do a little 'actor's studio' talk show at talkingabout.com and here's the one I did with them about Bingo, the Mr. Rawhide contest and fundraising. I hate watching myself on video (ALL video) and so someone please tell me that this came out OK! LOL
If the name Shane Winters isn’t immediately recognizable to you, you are forgiven. A newcomer to the porn biz, Shane made his sorta debut in the video clip I ran here on the blog a few weeks ago – Matthew Ford was fucking the beejezus out of him and many of you wrote to me and asked “who is that hottie that’s taking the business end of Matthew’s cock?” Well, it’s Shane Winters. And naturally I followed up and dropped him a note to ask him a little about himself.
First, Shane loves all forms for porn and (more importantly) what it does for people. He says that one of the reasons he wanted to porn and have finally started to make his way into it is that he “thinks porn is one of so many "scenes" in the gay world that end up being debased, adulterated and misconstrued.”
Second and most importantly, Shane had this to say about the industry and how it’s been perceived by the mainstream media and why he’s getting involved with it: “Porn is a household product now and I think that I have something to offer those people that want it and me. Because I'm just a regular, small town, non-hard bodied dude... I've decided to take full account of my process of moving into the porn world on my blog Shane Winters. Chronicles of my activities whether good, bad, funny, horrific, normal, or abnormal are all part of the fun process... I thought, "Why wouldn't I share this experience with all who want to see?" And one of my main focus areas while I try to make my way to the top (tongue very hard pressed to cheek *and smirk) will be try to push the crossover of porn, or for that matter any gay based media into more mainstream multi-media vehicles... As in "Can someone please explain why Johnny Hazzard hasn't done the Ellen show yet?" Or as in "Why o' why must I read about Kate Gosselin when Jackie Beat and her posse have never even made the cover of People magazine?" Tall orders, I know... But I'm as good as any person to push for it I'm guessin'. I'm a 31 year old dude with what I like to call "an up and coming hard body". Meaning I have to hit the gym pretty hard if I want to push forward into the vast world of Hot Porno Dudes... Only problem is that I hate the gym, McDonald's is a block away from me, I eat my feelings sometimes, I smoke, my personal trainer might actually be on my side but it NEVER feels that way, bacon is a condiment in my house and... Well you get the picture... But I guarantee that I will not fail my sparkling personality and cute face with a boring body... and although my tattoos definitely help, it's part of my process... Again I'll be blogging. I'm white... And I don't mean caucasion, (which of course, clearly I am) I mean I'm white! Wanna know how I know? Lets put it this way....You know your white when it takes a proficient Photoshop technician more than an hour just to make you look like you've been in the sun within the last year... Let alone tanned...That's how you know your’e white. Again, something I plan to work on while the world watches. I'm an all around guy who likes to have a good time, chill, and enjoy life. The most important things to me are my family, friends and creative side.”
Well, I certainly know what Shane means about being super white.. I used to tan all the time just to have a skin color look!
And what kind of guy does Shane usually go for? Winters opines, “I truly believe that everyone has some sort of sex appeal. The type of guy I like to go for usually has a great smile. I have a fairly big soft spot (or hard, depending on how you look at it) for cubs and bears, daddy types, and bad boys. I don't really have a lot of dislikes other than maybe dudes without a sense of humor.”
And there’s not much that Winters isn’t into saying that he’s “extremely versatile” and doesn’t knock anything til he’s tried it saying “I have a tendency to be drawn to a certain level of intensity rather than a specific act. I would have to say that I generally prefer a more "unconventional" take on things while I get it on with the guys, and have had tremendous luck with an open mind.”
Now, finally, to sex itself; I asked Shane what his top five favorite things to do sexually were and he responded with:
“(1.) Fucking (Top or Bttm). (2.) Hot blow-jobs (Top or Bttm). (3.) Rimming (Top or Bttm). (4.) Porno of course. (5.) The cruisin' aspect and the chasin' down the hot dude I wanna get it on with or vise versa, his chase after me.”
Conversely, what are his LEAST favorite things to have happen while trying to hook up and then have sex?
“(1.) Lights off during sex. (2.) When your pet absolutely must sit in the room and watch, or even worse, wants to participate. (3.) People that you can see are trying way too hard. (4.) No face pics on online sites are kind of a bummer ...Am I right? (5.) When an abnormally loud Diva ballad starts blaring right when I just managed to get my dick fully up your ass.”
Well, said Shane! You can find more about Shane at his blog as well as in upcoming video installments on Matthew Ford’s site debuting in November!
