While I, like many New Yorkers, find it incredible that neither California nor New York were the first to allow same sex marriage (and if things keep going the way they have been, we may be among the last - after Alabama and Arkansas) it is fantastic that New Jersey is thisclose to passing the same sex marriage bill.
According to NJ.com, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed the bill that would allow same sex couples to marry. The debate went on for seven hours and got quite heated. I guess they people protesting the move live in a bubble where the world hasn't ended in Massachusetts or Iowa (or in Vermont or in.. well, you get the picture).
Hold on to your hats, folks, it's not over yet ... it goes before the Senate on Thursday.......



How can you (yes you you lucky dog) can save the world in this era of rapid climate change?
Here's a few thoughts:
Unfortunately as long as there are processing plants dumping tons of carbon emissions into the sky and as long as we are dependent on oil as a fuel source we're kinda fucked... on the other hand, I do believe that each of us can make a difference!!
Today is the annual Blog Action Day where thousands of bloggers simultaneously write about a single topic .. as they say, "One day, one issue, thousands of voices"
