Good afternoon peeps! Just back from a day of meet ups with beneficiaries and stars for future Bingo nights - very excited about the impending move to Uncle Charlies next Wednesday February 6th from 9pm to 11pm. Looking forward to seeing you there. The beneficiary will be the Gay/Lesbian Anti Violence Project. Guests for the first two weeks will be announced early next week, but the charities are already in place - AVP on the 6th and Cycle for the Cause on the 13th.
Meanwhile, tonight, Thursday January 31st, I've got an amazing lineup for you all at our penultimate show at the Ritz located at 369 W. 46th Street on Restaurant Row - Drag sensation Robusta Capp and incredible Boylesque performer, Matt Knife! I'm really looking forward to hanging out with tonight's guests - and so will you! It promises to be a fabulous night of fundraising for the South Africa AIDS Ride (see below).
Sadly, tonight will be DJ Chauncey Dandridge's last night with us. Last winter Chauncey joined us when DJ Chris Padilla left New York for his new home in the Fort Lauderdale area. Chauncey has weathered our roller coaster ride as we moved from one place to the other and spent the past ten months making the Ritz our home. Always unpredictable and never dull, Chauncey has been one of our biggest cheerleaders ever - and it's been a real pleasure - and an honor- to get to know and work with him. Unfortunately as we're not going to have a DJ at Charlies, we have to say goodbye.... and because Chauncey was already going to have to miss next weeks final show at the Ritz due to a day job conflict, that goodbye has to be tonight.
But nope, we're not going to be sad that we're going through this big transition, no, we're going to have fun tonight and enjoy one last evening of being together, AB, Chauncey and I. Because although it's difficult to say goodbye, I am sure that we will all work together again. (Hey, it's New York nightlife, anything can and usually does happen).
See you all tonight at the Ritz for the Will Clark Show featuring Prrrrrrrno Bingo!! That's 7pm to 9pm! See you then!
