Good afternoon peeps!
Hope you're having a great weekend! I'm out of town for the weekend celebrating the birthday of a friend who turns 70 today. Last year he bought a car, this year we
are buying cheesesteak sandwiches. But last year I spent my birthday at "Carrie: The Musical" and this year I spent my birthday on my couch watching Justin Timberlake on SNL. Oh how the mighty have fallen! LOL :)
But seriously, as I wrote in an earlier blog post, I intended on spending my own birthday totally low key - and I really got it. But that is OK. In fact, I kind of always intended that my 49th would mostly be the day I started the countdown to 50. So at 8:40pm last Saturday night, I began that monumentus countdown. No concrete plans yet but I'm planning on making previous years' weeks long birthday celebrations pale in comparison. I originally moved to New York weeks before my 30th birthday and I moved back (from LA) and into my current apartment just weeks before my 40th. So I'm looking forward to the awesomeness that my 50th will bring. Stay tuned. :)
In a perfect world, I think it would be fabulous to Officiate as part of the 50th birthday extravaganza specifically on the actual day. As you all know, I have been working as a wedding planner, manager and Officiant over the past year ... and I love it.
I should add in here that seeing the 'cascading birthday greetings' on Facebook is always a cure for any kind of birthday blues. And so for those of you reading this that sent off birthday wishes, know that I saw it (even if there were too many on the FB wall for me to respond to individually).
Have a great St. Pat's day everyone ... I will be back in the city tomorrow evening and dodging puddles of puke whereever I go. Good times........
