Because two birthdays are
always better than one, Will celebrates his birthday AGAIN this week
PLUS we also share some birthday love with bartender Manny MacKenzie - join us for Bingo from 9pm to 11pm with a birthday toast at 10pm!
Special guests for the night include performance artist Dandy Darkly
and singer Matt Ryanz. 100% of the funds raised throughout the evening
will go to Cycle for the Cause, the LGBT Center’s annual AIDS ride from
Boston to New York.
Erotic prizes, cheap drinks and the best time you’ll have in New York. Playing Bingo. On a Wednesday night. After 9pm. On the east side. Seriously. ☺
About Cycle for the Cause
Cycle for the Cause’s mission is to advance the New York Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual & Transgender Community Center’s work to increase awareness
and knowledge through the HIV/AIDS related programs and services we
provide, increase HIV/AIDS activism and awareness on the
disproportionate and growing population of people living with HIV/AIDS
in New York City, and provide a vehicle for the community to get
involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS within New York City and the
greater Northeast.
About Dandy Darkly
Dandy Darkly (Neil Arthur James) is a storyteller of supernatural
sleaze and homosexual horror -- a sissy expert of all things
para-normal... para-psychological... pair of fabulous shoes, ladies and
gentlemen!
Dandy cut his teeth (and chipped a tooth) telling
tasteless tales of terror down under Provincetown's Dick Dock -- and
now, America's humble ghost-lisperer performs before dozens of perplexed
patrons across the tri-state area and beyond.
Dandy has hosted
such venerated venues as Stonewall Inn's speakeasy stage, Fire Island's
infamous Meat Rack and the Dixon Place cabaret lounge for his one-dandy
show "A Case of the Vapors!" as part of their annual HOT! Festival.
Mr. Darkly has worked alongside vaudeville veterans Trav S.D. and Fein
& Dandee, sharing his randy readings on the boards of Broadway's
historic 45th Street Playhouse, as part of the New York Musical Theatre
Festival, and on stage at the Kraine Theatre for the FAB! Festival's
Freak Fiction showcase.
In October of 2012, Dandy Darkly went
national, hosting both the Phantom Cabaret and the prestigious Airship
Awards at Steamcon, the national Steampunk Convention in Seattle,
Washington.
His show in November 2012, Turkey Coma: A
Post-Everything Variety Event played to a packed house at Dixon Place,
earning not only a Critic's Pick commendation from Time Out New York,
but was listed as "one of five things to do" that week.
