Good morning peeps! Hope you all have been doing well!
Yes, I've kind of dropped off the face of the Earth recently - first it was me taking a kind of social networking holiday - the intense negativity overwhelmed me (I think the day that someone made an unneccessarily cruel joke about Bonnie Franklin's death a few weeks ago was the final straw - seems as though people think they're funnier than they actually are and more bitchy than they really need to be).
About the time I started taking a little social media break, I started getting busy with a new contract events job. It's for the next two/three months and it's great but intense and the company blocks gmail and other social media - so suddenly I'm in a little bit of an uncommunication zone 10 hours a day. Add on to that last weekends all-encompassing "Night of a Thousand Gowns" (it was quite an honor to be knighted, and yes you can call me Sir Will Clark now... and I'm saying that as if no one has ever called me "Sir" before LOL) and the ailing parent of my boyfriend/ex boyfriend/it's complcated/don't ask because I don't know either.
I sort of get up get dressed, go to work, come home make dinner and go to bed. You know. Like normal people.
But, I'm still managing to produce and emcee Bingo every week and grateful for all the help I've been getting around that lately.
Tonight, we're raising funds for Cycle for the Cause - the Centers' AIDS Ride in September from Boston to New York. It's a monthly thing these days and has been "knock on wood" going well so far. Joining me for tonight's extravaganza are comic Lori Sommer (courtesy of Tom Ragu and his awesome stable of comics who dazzle and amuse at comedy clubs around town) and former XXX actor Mike Dreyden who's hosting this weekend's Robin Byrd Show at the Cutting Room - it's a special M4M show featuring, Go Go Harder and MIchael Lucas. That's Saturday night April 13th at midnight. Robin's heading off to Fire Island for the summer so the M4M night will be her last show until after Labor Day (when they presumably will not be wearing white). You can get tix by going to the Spin Cycle site. I've got some Falcon and Raging Stallion flicks to give away, tix to Robin Byrd and as always, ID Lube.
That's from 9pm to 11pm at Uncle Charlies located at 139 E. 45th Street between Lexington and Third on the north side of the street under the bright blue awning. See you then!!
