Good morning peeps - yesterday for lunch I thought I'd do something a little different - I'd have sushi at a place in the Rockefeller Plaza concourse. I work near there and had passed it many times. I had had a late breakfast (delicious lox and bagels from Russ and Daughters) at work to celebrate a colleagues birthday) so I just wanted, you know, a little something. Hence the salmon sushi for $4.50. Yeah, I know. I should have known. Last night after work I was sitting here watching AJ drink himself silly on "General Hospital" (yeah, I know, don't judge me) when I started feeling, well, not so fresh. It was not a good evening in that regard. I did go to bed insanely early - 10pm - and I slept well and had good dreams (haven't had a "flying" dreams in years!) so I guess that's something. This morning I feel better but yikes. I guess I will stick to pizza in the future.
Anyway, if you can get that image out of your mind, join me tonight at the Will Clark Show feat. P*rno Bingo for a rousing night of fun and fundraising for the Flying Goats Braking AIDS team. My guests are comic Corinne Fisher and Boylesque star Brooklyn Irons. If you were on the final Bad Boys on the Hudson last month, you saw Brooklyn pick up a bottle with his butt which has prompted me to order a glass when ordering bottled beer ever since (or at least think twice where that bottle has been, who am I kidding?) :) I don't know if Brooklyn'll do anything quite that outrageous tonight, but clearly anything is possible.
That's at Uncle Charlies tonight from 9pm to 11pm - Charlies is located at 139 E. 45th Street between Lexington and Third on the north side of the street, about the middle of the block under the blue awning. The awning is sort of hard to see as there are other awning competing for sight lines... but we are there and would love to have you join us. Ironically there are a couple of restaurants nearby that also sushi, but I'm pretty sure it'll be awhile before I eat there either. :)
