Here are the things that YOU need to know before you come:
1. We will be raising funds through the sale of Bingo cards for the Cycle for the Cause ride of Anthony Zillmer. He's sexy, he's personable and if you throw enough money at him, he will probably get undressed (actually he might do that even if you don't throw money at him, but please do - the Cycle for the Cause ride raises funds for the HIV/AIDS services at the LGBT Center here in NYC... besides, he looks pretty good naked - or at least as much as I've seen at previous bingos....)
2. My day job is collecting school supplies. Since I'm pretty sure that MOST of you reading this don't have kids, this is an easy way to help the youth of tomorrow. :) If you bring $20 worth of supplies (pens, notebooks, pencils, pencil sharpeners, folders, three ring binders, small bottles of glue, you know, that kind of stuff), I will personally buy you some sort of drink thing. :)
The only stipulation is that the supplies MUST be new (in packaging), it cannot be materials that you are just getting rid of from your apartment. There is a Duane Reade at the corner of Lexington and W. 43rd or 44th Street - which is just one block from Uncle Charlies. Please bring stuff and make me look good when I go in on Thursday. :) LOL :)
3. I will have two guests: one will be singer Terry Christopher whose own fundraising efforts have been phenomenal over the past few years, this year alone he raised over $10,000 for the Wisconsin AIDS Ride. The ride was a couple weeks ago, and he's now just getting out of bed. :)
The other guest will be Tom Blunt, whom those of you who have been around know has run the popular "Meet the Lady" event the past few years.
Tom's Bio: Tom Blunt is the host of Meet The Lady http://www.meetthelady.com/, a variety show celebrating women in film and described by Fangoria as "one of New York’s most colorful performance-based events." He is also a co-producer of the sex-therapy cabaret "Never Sleep Alone" which recently enjoyed a two-year run at Joe's Pub. Between shows, he covers film and literary news for the Random House blog Word & Film. http://www.wordandfilm.com/
4. There's no cover and bingo cards are a dollar a piece. I have XXX flicks as prizes and I guarantee a good time (I'd say that there's a money back guarantee but hey, there's no cover) :)
SEE YOU TONIGHT at Uncle Charlies, located at 139 E. 45th Street between Lexington and Third on the north side of the street. It's the blue awning in the middle of the block, through the doors and up to the short stairway. There's no cover and we're there from 9pm to 11pm, don't be late!
