We have more info on Carrie Prejean's abrupt about-face during the settlement negotiations with Miss California USA lawyers -- when they showed her the X-Rated version of Home Alone ... starring Carrie herself.When the video started playing, Carrie's first reaction was "that's disgusting" ... and Carrie denied it was her. Then, the camera angle changed ... and panned up to her face. She was caught red-handed ... so to speak. Carrie was rendered speechless and immediately began talking with her lawyer. We're told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to drop her $1 million dollar demand.

California Secretary of State Debra Bowen today authorized the backer of an initiative that would ban divorce to begin collecting signatures to put the proposed constitutional amendment before voters.

Naturally I think that if the so-called Christians think that same sex marriage harms the sanctity of marriage, then they should all be agreeing to push this through without pause, because divorce, by it's very definition is harmful to marriage.

Of course it won't go through but it should be fun watching the fundies try to talk their way out of why this shouldn't go through in CA!!

Last night with the help of my spectacular guests Trai la Trash (I cannot fucking beLIEVE that this talent has no show at the moment in New York City!!! What is wrong here??) and rapper Lester Greene who consented to let us sell his underwear (for a pretty good $140) and then modeled two basketball team jerseys which also picked up some cash. The place was packed and the mood was terrific - even if we couldn't quite get the Yankee game on the TV as we'd hoped (sorry about that!).

In total throughout the night we raised another $750, this time for New York’s Gay Basketball League!

It was certainly a great start to what is sure to be a fantastic month at the event even if for no other reason than after tabulating the last couple weeks’ take, I realized that we are just $525.00 away from reaching that magic number of having raised $100,000 for New York based GLBT non profits!! I realize it doesn't sound THAT impressive when I say that it's taken since February 2005 (nearly five years) to get to this point .. but also realize: dollar bingo cards and underwear auctions. But for what it's worth, our yearly average has gone steadily up and has raised sharply since we started doing the show at Pieces. Certainly our weekly average has gone way up - this comes from being able to accommodate more people at Pieces and with the move we've had the great support of NEXT and Time Out New York as well as a few blogs along the way to really get the word out. I'm also happy to remind everyone that 100% of what is raised every week actually goes to the charity.

I don’t want to get too cocky and say that we’ll for sure raise that on the 11th but I AM hoping that we can do it.. would be great to do that on the night when we have Matthew Rush (coming up from Fort Lauderdale) and a long time friend, singer Dudley Saunders (coming in for the week from Los Angeles).

The November 11th show will benefit the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, a fantastic theatre up in the Bronx devoted to providing high quality entertainment year round for the GLBT community up there. Definitely one of those causes I hold in the highest esteem because it marries all my various interests together (and if you haven’t seen their annual “Nutcracker” take-off, you are missing something. We will have tickets but plan on going even if you don’t win any).

Plus, the November 18th show will benefit the Gay/Lesbian Anti Violence Project and will be a special “Lesbian Porno Bingo” night. I’m still not entirely sure how this is going to work but we have gay male porn star Colin Steele coming in for a special appearance as well as lesbian sex activist Sarah Jenny. Toys from Babeland and videos from Raging Stallion (you wouldn’t believe how many lesbian porn studios we contacted trying to get lesbian themed product but to no avail.. but I will keep trying!!) as well as some special theatre ticket prizes that I will talk about closer to the date.

Then, on Wednesday November 25th, we will be graced by the presence of Uptown Express and the delightful company of the one and only Gusty Winds. Since the next day is Thanksgiving and there’s no where to be the next morning, make plans to start your Thanksgiving weekend with us!!

Anyway, pictures are coming from last night and the Avi Dar week but I have a huge non porn/non Bingo project to work on today so it’ll have to wait til tonight but I have pics from both weeks and they are spectacular.

INSIDE ISRAEL AND BRUNO JONES

I enjoy my porn company contacts and their ability (and availability) to send me all sorts of stuff.

Sure, sometimes given that I'm traveling (and you wouldn't believe how many places still don't have wi fi.. what the hell is up with that?) and that I was down for a week, there's some content collecting mold (it's always the question: do I post it even if it's 'late' or just ditch it and move on?), but more or less I post when I get things and the PR guys like that.

It's weird though, as much as the porn industry would like to push push push for that insta rapport/insta news culutre, I don't really see the need for it .. I mean, a guy that was hot yesterday is still hot today. And a guy that appeared in a movie ten years ago might be ten years older but the movie itself is still hot, is it not?

It's just that the porn biz is different (in my opinion) than say the mainstream Hollywood press where NOW is what everyone's after. 

Anyway, usually I take the information that a studio has sent, interpret and write something fresh in my own voice.. and sometimes I quote directly when the PR guys have done such an outstanding job that I feel as though I just have to quote directly (either because it's really fucking hot OR so ridiculous that I can't believe that they've put it out there).

Even after posting news from the industry for over 12 years on this blog and in my old online and print columns, it still amuses the fuck out of me that some people (no names because why bother to give them press?) still think they're fooling people when they simply use studio press materials as though they wrote them. HA. Dude, fans know the difference. Seriously.

Anyway, this leads me to the Lucas Entertainment clip of the week featuring newcomer Bruno Jones from the upcoming INSIDE ISRAEL. Their PR guy always writes such great copy and so today I'm merely quoting him as the introduction to the clip (below). Enjoy. And those are my exact words. :)
